Guest on SME Growth Podcast

I’m thrilled to have been invited as the guest on this weeks SME Growth Podcast. Dave Parry and I sit down to discuss what lessons SMEs can learn from the CrowdStrike chaos and whether SMEs need to be thinking more about their disaster recovery and business continuity protocols.

New Office Move

15 years ago we moved into The Pump House in Shrewsbury. Three of us in a small office on the top floor.

As we grew, we have occupied offices on every floor of the building, celebrated our milestone 20th year and provided leading IT services to the region and delivered on hundreds of web projects for organisations around the world, all from within the same building.

Coming into 2024, we needed to think about the next 15 years. So, we made the big decision to move across town to the Abbey Lawn Business Park. It’s a much more suitable office for us going forward and is more accessible for us and our customers. We’re all excited and energised with the move.

The Pump House was great for us but we won’t miss the flooding!

Information Solutions/The Web Orchard Support The Movement Centre

Shropshire charity The Movement Centre is delighted to have the support of Information Solutions/The Web Orchard for a second year running.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of events and the loss of income. At a time when funding is difficult, Information Solutions/The Web Orchard have stepped up to support The Movement Centre, in the form of free hosting and support of their website.

With over a decade providing high quality web design and IT services to businesses and charities throughout the West Midlands, Information Solutions/The Web Orchard is an established company with a proven track record in its sectors. With many satisfied clients and excellent retention rates, Information Solutions/The Web Orchard can provide competitive and cost effective websites and IT support.

Pete White, Director of Information Solutions/The Web Orchard, says “It’s great to be able to extend our support for The Movement Centre. Their targeted training therapy is essential for transforming the lives of children and we’re happy to help out where we can.”

The Movement Centre based in Oswestry, support children with additional needs through their therapy Targeted Training. The treatment has been helping to transform the range of movement of children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities affecting their mobility for the last 25 years. It helps children gain head control so that they can interact with those around them, sit unaided and can lead to gaining the ability to walk.

Johnny Wilkes, CEO at The Movement Centre, says “We are delighted to have the ongoing support of Information Solutions/The Web Orchard. The hosting and support of our website is an integral part of our work, and we are so pleased that they have agreed to support those ongoing costs for the next 12 months.”

Iraq Business News

Just over six years ago we took over the news site Iraq Business News and its associated publications in Iran in Libya. We’ve seen the rise and fall of Isis and the knock-on effects that has caused for people and business.

In that time the Iraq website has received almost 10 million page views from 2.4 million users in 217 countries. The weekly newsletters for all three sites have been read a huge 1.7 million times.

The site survives thanks to its sponsors and with stats like the above we like to feel we have a strong value proposition – for more see…  www.iraq-businessnews.com

2020 Flood Update

So access to the office is flooded again and most of Shrewsbury is too. River is set to go up a further half a meter tomorrow so could be the end of the week before we get back in 🧐😬😫. This is Smithfield road, I couldn’t get anywhere near the office without a boat.
